the sun always shines on t.v.

some say i have a good taste in music. i am not your average entel dantel guy but i don't listen to 202x turkish rap either. i usually stick to the 80's. one thing about me is that i stay away from changes. i try to hold on to my current position. this also applies to music, i am stuck listening alphaville for the last two years. i can't let go. i still find new music to listen, but it happens quite naturally. sometimes i get a recommendation or youtube autoplay just does the trick. but for this one, it was different. the name of the song was screaming to me saying "i am a fucking banger, listen to me". look how cool the name is: firstly, it is not about bitches and cocaine. secondly, (at least the name) it is not about love. if you manage to get past these two conditions, you have something original in your hands. i also recommend the track "here i stand and face the rain" from the same album, "hunting high and low" from a-ha.

but i will not focus on the song (listen to it, you won't regret it), i will focus on it's name instead: "the sun always shines on t.v.". novadays the television has almost become obsolete, lost his throne to social media, so i will talk about social media instead.

life is full of misery, especially when you are living in turkey. it is alright to be depressed here. the thing which is not ok is to say "oh, look at them. they have a wonderful life" to someone you saw on instagram. this summer, i have travelled to over 7 seashore cities end enjoyed the beach in every single one of them. i posted photos from some of them, but i had big problems at the time. you did not see any of it. do not fall into the perception that everyone else is living the best life out there and you are stuck in the EE building study room. this is not the case. social media only shows the peak moments, not the rock bottom. the sun always shines on social media but you have to dig down a little bit to see the misery in the people. stay sharp, you are not alone.
